Saint Petersburg, Russia. Trinity Alexander Nevsky Lavra. Tudor Novgorod Church. There is a group of historical stone tombs that have suffered from destruction, damage, and degradation because of wars and the weather conditions surrounding them over time, all of which are the legacy of Russian culture, civilization, and history. This study focuses on the restoration and preservation of Archaeological Stone Tomb of Politkovskaya Maria Semyonovna (15.11.1809 - 10.07.1864), which were destroyed. Many stone elements of them had been lost they also suffer from damage and deterioration. This cultural heritage needs to be preserved for future generations. The exact date of manufacture of the tombstone is unknown, presumably, it was installed in the second half of the 1860s. The monument was very damaged, which was the basis for restoration work. In 2020, the board in a fragmented state was sent for restoration to the workshop of the St. Petersburg State Institute of Culture.
